It’s been a sad weekend for the MotoGP community.

“It has been a very sad weekend; it is always upsetting when something like this happens. We feel very deeply sorry for Jason Dupasquier. We hope that he can rest in peace and he will continue on in the memory of people throughout the paddock. Our condolences go out to his family, friends and his team.”

We cannot avoid speaking about MotoGP, it was not the best weekend for Honda HRC riders.

“Clearly it was again not the best weekend for us. We knew Mugello was not going to be easy, but we were not as competitive as we would have liked. I think the positive story is the lap Marc Márquez did just as the race started, he was feeling good on the bike. But unfortunately, he has a crash on lap two, he could not see Binder and made a mistake. This can happen and we are sorry for it.

Pol Espargaró had some issues during the race and after seven or eight laps he couldn’t deliver on his potential and went back a few positions. We also had high hopes for Takaaki Nakagami, but he made a mistake at the end of the race and fell. His start was not the best, but he showed good pace and could have earned a few points. Álex Márquez had a very difficult weekend and did not go as well as we expected.”

We are facing back-to-back race in Barcelona.

“Mugello has not been good to us, but all we can do is keep going. We know we are not in the best moment, but we are not giving up. We go to Barcelona now and try to find the way to overcome our difficulties. We stay strong, we stay together as a team. We are facing difficult moments, but we have experienced these in the past, and we have overcome them, just as we will overcome this moment. As a team, we will get back to our correct level in the short term.”
