The rider from Kentucky left his mark on the Repsol Honda Team. How can we forget how he made us World Champions in 2006, and how he made us suffer and start crying as soon as he crossed the finish line. We were jumping around and were just as excited as he was. They were great, happy moments that now make us well up.

He shared the box with Valentino Rossi and Dani Pedrosa. He fought to get pole positions and victories. He fought against his rivals on the track. He was always a gentleman both on and off the track, and that’s how those who fought with Nicky wheel against wheel will remember him. All of us who shared the box with him, who worked with him on a daily basis, who enjoyed his company and bright personality, want to remember him just as he was.

There’s not much left to say. Just “thank you” for your eternal smile, thank you for being you, and, most of all, thanks for being part of our team. We will always remember you Nicky!
