Just one week away from the 2016 World Championship, Marc Márquez and Dani Pedrosa enjoyed a visit to the Repsol Technology Lab in Móstoles, Madrid. On top of checking that all the petrol they would need this season was ready, both riders traded their competition suits for lab coats to become scientists at one of Europe’s state-of-the-art facilities.
Throughout an enjoyable day, both riders put their scientific knowledge and skills to the test at one of the top premier labs. They had to complete a series of experiments related to the density of liquids and solids, and even electricity, going through a mixture of air and fuel.
The place that hosted this activity, the Repsol Technology Lab, is a space with 14 years of history which was the product of the four research facilities that Repsol had throughout Spain. It is located in Móstoles, Madrid, and it is considered one of the most prestigious R&D centres in Europe, especially when it comes to fields such as sustainability and energy systems.
