The FIM CEV Repsol will resume competition at the Autodromo do Algarve (Portugal), after a break of nearly two months. The sixth round of the year will have one Moto3 race and two races for both Moto2 and Superbike, getting closer to the decisive phase for the three classes, as there will only be two rounds left in Jerez and Valencia.

For many riders, taking part in the international Championship is a unique opportunity to make their shared dream come true: getting to the Motorcycling World Championship, as explained by two rookies of the Moto2 European Championship, Valencian Iker Lecuona and the rider from Mallorca Augusto Fernandez. Fifth and sixth respectively in their class, in Portugal they will try to keep growing and confirm their talent.

After five rounds of the FIM CEV Repsol completed, Lorenzo Dalla Porta leads the Moto3 Junior World Championship with an advantage of 36 points. At the Superbike European Championship, Carmelo Morales took the first place in Albacete and leads the overall standings with 7 points over the second, Maximilian Scheib. The first Champion of the year could be confirmed in Moto2, where Steven Odendaal could secure the title in Algarve if, after the two Sunday races, he is able to increase his advantage over the second place from 48 to 50 points.
