Fermín Aldeguer is proclaimed Moto2 European Champion in Jerez

Fermín Aldeguer was crowned Moto2 European Champion on Sunday after achieving a victory and a second position, behind Alonso López, in the two races held at Jerez. He becomes the first FIM CEV Repsol champion of the season, thanks to his incredible streak of 9 consecutive victories and second place. In addition, Aldeguer is the youngest champion in the history of the class, at only 16 years old.

In the FIM Moto3 Junior World Championship™, two intense races went down to the final laps, with Scott James Ogden and David Muñoz the winners. The English rider achieved his first victory of the season, while the Spaniard, with his second win of 2021, narrowed the gap to leader Daniel Holgado to 42 points.

In ETC, Máximo Martínez took two victories after two very close races, decided on the final lap. With his first two wins of the year, the Spaniard takes the lead in the class with 136 points, overtaking Xabi Zurutuza -who suffered a crash in the second race and dropped to third in the overall standings.

The next FIM CEV Repsol event will be held on September 18th at the Misano World Circuit, which will host a single FIM Moto3 Junior World Championship™ race and will be run alongside the San Marino Grand Prix.
