Raúl Fernández won the only race of the Moto3 Junior World Championship, reaching his second victory this season.

With this result, and the crash of Manuel Pagliani, second in the overall standings, the rider from Madrid increases to 28 points his advantage in the lead of the championship.

Edgar Pons, who started from pole position, won the two races of the Moto2 European Championship.

Jesko Raffin, second in both races, keeps the lead of the category with a 50-point advantage over the second.

The second Moto2 leg was cut down to 10 laps after an incident at the beginning of the contest that forced the race to be stopped and repeat the start.

José Antonio Rueda and David Muñoz shared the two victories at the European Talent Cup. Matteo Patacca, who did not compete due to an injury, keeps the lead of the overall standings, tied with Xavier Artigas with 82 points.

The FIM CEV Repsol will resume after the summer break on September 29-30th in Jerez, where the Moto3 Junior World Championship and the European Talent Cup will have two races, while Moto2 will have one.

RAÚL FERNÁNDEZ – MOTO3 RACE WINNER

“It was a very exciting race. I felt strong and I was quite fast this morning during the warm-up, so I knew that I could win today. In the end, I try to think about a strategy and I was able to do it. I want to thank my team, they did a great job this weekend, and thank my family for their support. I want to dedicate this victory to Andreas Pérez, today we competed for him, my thoughts are with his family.”

EDGAR PONS – MOTO2 FIRST RACE WINNER

“It was a very tough race; the tyres suffered a lot with the heat and it was easy to crash. I didn’t have a good start and Jesko [Raffin] passed me. Luckily, I was able to overtake him quickly and then I tried to push hard and to focus in managing my advantage without making mistakes. I was very happy because we were working well. Thanks to the team, because they’re doing a great job and I feel better and better.”

EDGAR PONS – MOTO2 SECOND RACE WINNER

“I’m very happy with this victory. In the second leg we were able to start well and take the lead, which was important, being such a short race, and from then on, we tried to push to the maximum. I saw Jesko [Raffin] always at the same distance, but with this heat and the tyres worn, you take risks on every corner, so I didn’t want to push harder. I want to thank the team and everyone that supports me. We need to keep working on this path and the good results will arrive.”

JOSÉ ANTONIO RUEDA – EUROPEAN TALENT CUP FIRST RACE WINNER

“It was a difficult race because there were many riders ahead and you needed to close spaces or you would be overtaken very easily. As laps went by, everything got more complicated because of the tyres wear. In the last lap I was overtaken by several riders, but luckily, at the straight I was able to pass them.”

DAVID MUÑOZ – EUROPEAN TALENT CUP SECOND RACE WINNER

“It was a very important race for me, as I was fighting lap after lap with Víctor [Rodriguez] and Daniel [Muñoz]. I felt very comfortable from the start of the race, both with the bike and with my riding. It was a very good weekend, because we did a good job and I want to thank my team.”
