It is the fourth year that the FIM CEV Repsol takes advantage of the Motorcycling World Championship appointment to hold a round of the Junior World Championship in France.

The race was exciting until the very last corner of the last lap, when the winner and the final podium positions were decided: Alonso López took his first win, Dennis Foggia was second and Jeremy Alcoba, third.

With this result, Jeremy Alcoba –winner of the first round– strengthens his lead, followed by Dennis Foggia, 8 points behind, and Alonso López, 16 points away.

The next round will take place next June 18th at the Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit, where all the categories of the FIM CEV Repsol will compete together again: the Moto3 Junior World Championship – with two races – the Moto2 European Championship – also with 2 races -, and the European Talent Cup – that will only have one race–.

ALONSO LÓPEZ – MOTO3 RACE WINNER

“This win makes me very happy, especially because I was able to get my revenge from Albacete. At that race, I couldn’t do anything because I crashed together with Raúl [Fernández]; I’m sorry about what happened in the warm-up, where he has been seriously injured. At the beginning of the race we didn’t know what to do, because we didn’t have any reference on dry tarmac and we went too wide several times. In the last lap, I saw that Masia crashed and I passed Foggia from the inside at the last corner, because I knew he would go wide after braking at the wrong place. I’m very happy to have my first victory and I want to thank the team, the sponsors and everyone that supports me.”
