It was a great start for the championship and I want to congratulate the organization, as it was a very complete trial
Toni Bou led the first lap with 13 points. In the end, he completed the round with an advantage of 17 points over the rider in second position.
Takahisa Fujinami, hindered by an injury in his right shoulder, finished eighth in Camprodón.
The next round of the TrialGP World Championship will take place in Motegi, Japan, with two days, on June 2-3.
“I’m very happy with this victory, as yesterday I had a bad qualifying and today I had to go out with the first riders of the category. The race was very complicated, but I felt well from the beginning, making few mistakes. The second lap was more difficult, due to the rain and mud, and I did some 5 due to lack of confidence in the terrain. I felt well, physically, though in the second lap my back hurt a bit, but I felt better than I expected. It was a great start for the championship and I want to congratulate the organization, as it was a very complete trial, with some very authentic areas.”
“Last week we were already deciding if I should participate in this first race or not, as my shoulder isn’t at 100% yet. I wanted to test and I did it. I started well, but I got more tired every time and my back and arms bothered me. Nevertheless, I’m very happy with the result: an eighth position is very good for the championship.”
