Despite some physical problems with his arms, Bou passed the first Qualifying round, led his group in the semi-final and achieved the victory in the finale against Adam Raga.

His team mate, Takahisa Fujinami, returned to the indoor competition after missing the first round and he finished one point away from the semi-final, in eight place.

The next round of the FIM X-Trial World Championship calendar will take place next Friday, January 19th in Toulouse, France.

Toni Bou

“Today we suffered a lot in this race. I didn’t feel well; my arms were hurting and I had a bad time. I tried several times already in zone 1 and that wore me a little already. I was able to finish every phase, but the semi-final was a close call. In the end, I took the win, which was comforting after so much suffering, but it was also very good, as it gives us a good advantage in the Championship. This week I’ll try to recover, because we have the next race immediately.”

Takahisa Fujinami

“Today I tried my best. I think it didn’t go bad, as I could have even qualified for the semi-final, but I hadn’t competed indoor for a long time and I made some mistakes I shouldn’t have. I hope I can do better in the next round.”
