AdBlue?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Las exigencias medioambientales en aumento han obligado a adaptar los motores de combusti\u00f3n para que cumplan las normativas, y en especial los propulsores di\u00e9sel, que por sus caracter\u00edsticas producen emisiones de \u00f3xido de nitr\u00f3geno que son especialmente nocivas. De esta forma, con el fin de mejorar las condiciones medioambientales, la industria de la automoci\u00f3n ha buscado soluciones para que los motores di\u00e9sel resulten menos da\u00f1inos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La respuesta a sus investigaciones ha sido el <strong>AdBlue<\/strong>, un compuesto l\u00edquido que se convierte en la <strong>pieza clave del sistema anticontaminaci\u00f3n de los motores Euro 6<\/strong>, normativa introducida en 2014 y que limita las emisiones de \u00f3xido de nitr\u00f3geno (NOx) en los motores <a href=\"https:\/\/www.repsol.es\/particulares\/asesoramiento-consumo\/que-consume-mas-diesel-gasolina\/\">di\u00e9sel<\/a> a 80 mg\/km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El AdBlue reduce los niveles de NOx producidos en la combusti\u00f3n, que son perjudiciales para la salud y el medio ambiente. Al pulverizarse en los gases calientes, libera amon\u00edaco, que reacciona en el catalizador y convierte los NOx en nitr\u00f3geno y vapor de agua, modificando completamente las emisiones y permitiendo reducir de esta forma los niveles de NOx a valores muy bajos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>De esta forma, podemos considerar al AdBlue como un agente anticontaminaci\u00f3n activo, que no altera el ciclo del motor pero que resulta clave para que este reduzca los niveles de NOx, producidos por la elevada temperatura de la combusti\u00f3n, y que cumpla as\u00ed con la normativa Euro.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"684\" src=\"https:\/\/bxrepsol.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/static\/2026\/02\/02064200\/close-up-design-of-a-modern-car-2026-01-08-23-59-42-utc-1024x684.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-129731\" style=\"width:841px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bxrepsol.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/static\/2026\/02\/02064200\/close-up-design-of-a-modern-car-2026-01-08-23-59-42-utc-1024x684.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/bxrepsol.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/static\/2026\/02\/02064200\/close-up-design-of-a-modern-car-2026-01-08-23-59-42-utc-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/bxrepsol.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/static\/2026\/02\/02064200\/close-up-design-of-a-modern-car-2026-01-08-23-59-42-utc-768x513.jpg 768w, https:\/\/bxrepsol.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/static\/2026\/02\/02064200\/close-up-design-of-a-modern-car-2026-01-08-23-59-42-utc-1536x1025.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/bxrepsol.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/static\/2026\/02\/02064200\/close-up-design-of-a-modern-car-2026-01-08-23-59-42-utc-2048x1367.jpg 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"%C2%BFPara_que_sirve_el_AdBlue_en_los_coches_diesel\"><\/span><a id=\"_msocom_1\"><\/a><strong>\u00bfPara qu\u00e9 sirve el AdBlue en los coches di\u00e9sel?<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Como dec\u00edamos antes, el <strong>AdBlue es un agente anticontaminante<\/strong>&nbsp;. Se almacena en un dep\u00f3sito propio, separado del dep\u00f3sito de gasoil del autom\u00f3vil. Su consumo es bastante bajo, y est\u00e1 entre uno y tres litros cada 1.000 kil\u00f3metros. Una de las caracter\u00edsticas del sistema SCR, que es el que gestiona la administraci\u00f3n de AdBlue al motor, es que si el dep\u00f3sito se vac\u00eda, el motor no podr\u00e1 arrancar una vez apagado, por una cuesti\u00f3n de normativa medioambiental, por lo que hay que estar muy atento a los niveles de AdBlue del coche para evitar este inconveniente.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El sistema SCR y el uso de AdBlue est\u00e1 presente en todos los veh\u00edculos di\u00e9sel producidos desde 2014. Pr\u00e1cticamente todos los fabricantes de modernos di\u00e9sel lo utilizan. Su empleo no afecta al rendimiento del motor, as\u00ed que el AdBlue resulta completamente inocuo para tu coche.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Si por descuido te quedas sin AdBlue, el motor no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.repsol.es\/particulares\/asesoramiento-consumo\/como-arrancar-coche-pinzas\/\">arrancar\u00e1<\/a> por una cuesti\u00f3n de normativa antiemisiones, pero antes de que eso suceda el sistema del veh\u00edculo te alertar\u00e1 de los bajos niveles con bastante antelaci\u00f3n. Por lo general, hay un <strong>primer aviso <\/strong>cuando restan entre<strong> 2.000 y 1.000 km de consumo de AdBlue<\/strong>, y un segundo aviso cuando s\u00f3lo quedan unos cientos de kil\u00f3metros para que se agote.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El momento definitivo es con el aviso cr\u00edtico, que advierte de que restan pocos kil\u00f3metros o el dep\u00f3sito est\u00e1 pr\u00e1cticamente vac\u00edo, con lo que el sistema emitir\u00e1 un aviso expl\u00edcito para rellenar el dep\u00f3sito. Y si no lo haces, el motor se detiene. No es una aver\u00eda, no afecta al funcionamiento mec\u00e1nico del propulsor. Por lo general, el<strong> dep\u00f3sito de AdBlue se rellena entre los 5.000 y los 15.000 kil\u00f3metros<\/strong>, dependiendo de los modelos, porque tampoco todos tienen la misma capacidad de dep\u00f3sito.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El consumo de AdBlue en los motores di\u00e9sel Euro 6 suele ser entre 1 y 3 litros cada 1.000 km en turismos, y de 3 a 6 litros cada 1.000 km en furgonetas y veh\u00edculos pesados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El llenado del dep\u00f3sito de AdBlue es sencillo. Su boca de llenado suele estar junto a la del dep\u00f3sito de combustible, y es f\u00e1cilmente reconocible por su tapa de color azul, aunque algunos modelos tienen el dep\u00f3sito de AdBlue en el maletero. En las gasolineras existen surtidores espec\u00edficos, pero tambi\u00e9n hay marcas que ofrecen AdBlue en garrafas, para que el usuario tenga un acceso m\u00e1s pr\u00e1ctico al compuesto en caso de necesidad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Es importante a la hora de repostar AdBlue estar atento en el proceso de llenado, evitando que el l\u00edquido se derrame, porque es una sustancia muy corrosiva que ataca especialmente la pintura y otros elementos, como tapicer\u00edas y pl\u00e1sticos, y en su manejo es recomendable el uso de guantes debido a su elevado nivel de corrosi\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tambi\u00e9n hay que tener en cuenta que las propiedades del AdBlue tienen caducidad, y son efectivas por espacio de un a\u00f1o, por lo que no conviene almacenar AdBlue en grandes cantidades si no se tiene la seguridad de que se va a consumir en ese periodo de tiempo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>La capacidad del dep\u00f3sito de AdBlue depende de cada veh\u00edculo, pero por lo general oscila entre los 10 y los 20 litros de capacidad, con lo que dependiendo del kilometraje anual que se realice condicionar\u00e1 la frecuencia de repostaje de AdBlue. Ya es norma com\u00fan entre los fabricantes informar del promedio de consumo de AdBlue, y as\u00ed ayudar al usuario a tener claro con qu\u00e9 frecuencia habr\u00e1 que
