Hi everyone! It’s been a few months since I last posted anything, and a lot\u2019s happened since then. If I had to choose one word to define my winter, I wouldn’t know which one to choose. The truth is, things have been a bit up and down, at times chaotic, but perhaps it can be summed up as another difficult winter. At times I didn\u2019t know when I would be able to compete again or if I would be able to, as I endured diplopia again.<\/p>\n

Dr. S\u00e1nchez Dalmau, my most trusted doctor who already helped me back in 2012, told me to take a conservative treatment that required time and patiences. And so I did. Thanks to his advice, the recovery process has been a success and I could regain my vision. I\u2019m very grateful to the doctors and the physios who\u2019ve treated me and to everyone who\u2019s helped me, specially my team and family who have helped me in these difficult times. They\u2019ve all got me back to top condition ahead of preseason.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

During this winter, I did a four-day trip to Granada with some friends, a spur of the moment decision that helped me disconnect from everything. We woke up one day and thought “let’s go”. I was starting to climb the walls a bit at home, but my friends knew what to do.<\/p>\n

I haven\u2019t been able to train properly these last months, but when Dr. S\u00e1nchez gave me the green light to get back on a bike, which was mid-January, I started to pick up my training a little more, as I needed to catch up on the hours of riding I\u2019d missed. During these weeks I have been doing motocross, riding the CBR 600, karting\u2026 At first I was sore, but I\u2019ve been feeling better.<\/p>\n

The Sepang test will help me understand better how I am physically and compare how my arm has progressed since last year. It will also be useful to see the work that HRC has put in with the new bike and see where we are.<\/p>\n

I’m also looking forward to the heat of Malaysia because I hate the cold, so I can’t wait to go. I\u2019m really looking forward to get back on my MotoGP bike; I get goosebumps just thinking about that moment.<\/p>\n
