{"id":97746,"date":"2019-11-17T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-11-17T02:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pre.boxrepsol.com\/uncategorized\/marquez-places-second-on-final-grid-of-2019\/"},"modified":"2023-02-27T07:23:09","modified_gmt":"2023-02-27T09:23:09","slug":"marquez-places-second-on-final-grid-of-2019","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.boxrepsol.com\/en\/motogp-en\/marquez-places-second-on-final-grid-of-2019\/","title":{"rendered":"Marc M\u00e1rquez places second on final grid of 2019"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Marc M\u00e1rquez<\/strong> was second in all three sessions held in Valencia on Saturday: FP3, FP4 and Q2.<\/p>\n<p>The 2019 MotoGP World Champion challenged for pole throughout the Q2 session and missed out on pole by just 0.032s.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jorge Lorenzo<\/strong> was 14th in the morning Free Practice and 18th in FP4. With our race pace we\u2019re not very far away, but Quartararo is very strong over one lap. Anyway, I\u2019m happy to be on the front row and our first target is done. We\u2019ll try to start well tomorrow and then see what happens. It will be a tough race as Vi\u00f1ales and Quartararo are very fast but I think we can manage it well.<\/em><\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/jl99?src=hash&#038;lang=es\">#JL99<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Today went about as we expected, maybe I could have been a little higher on the grid.  <\/strong> The plan for tomorrow is to make a good start and avoid trouble in the opening laps and then see what my pace will give me at the end of the race. I think we can move forward and maintain a pace that is closer to the leaders than in the previous rounds.
