FP4 started with the track still wet, although it would dry up as the session progressed.<\/p>\n<p>Marc M\u00e1rquez was the fastest in FP4, almost two seconds quicker than his nearest rival.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Lorenzo clocked the fastest time in Q1<\/strong>, but experienced a problem with his bike after his first lap in Q2. He was able to return to his garage by running through pit lane, and would eventually set the 11th best lap, on his penultimate attempt.<\/p>\n<p><strong>M\u00e1rquez topped the timesheets in qualifying<\/strong>, claiming his seventh consecutive pole position at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boxrepsol.com\/en\/motogp-en\/you-cant-talk-about-cota-without-talking-about-marc-marquez\/\">Circuit of the Americas<\/a>. Today we were fastest and got pole, but no one knows about race pace or tyres yet as we lost FP3.<\/p>\n<p>We will have to work well in Warm Up to make up for the time we sadly lost to the weather. After Warm Up we will know more but there are many people who could be in the fight.<\/em><\/p>\n<hr\/>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/jl99?src=hash&#038;lang=en\">#JL99<\/a><\/p>\n<p><em>A challenging day today with the weather where we unfortunately lost some time. I was feeling strong in Q1 and pushed hard to get through. Then we had an issue in Q2 which upset our plan. <\/p>\n<p>The other bike had a different setting as we are trying a lot of different things so we couldn\u2019t unlock our full potential.
