{"id":97286,"date":"2019-01-21T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2019-01-21T02:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pre.boxrepsol.com\/uncategorized\/toni-bou-starts-with-a-win\/"},"modified":"2023-02-27T07:15:46","modified_gmt":"2023-02-27T09:15:46","slug":"toni-bou-starts-with-a-win","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.boxrepsol.com\/en\/trial-en\/toni-bou-starts-with-a-win\/","title":{"rendered":"Toni Bou starts the X-Trial World Championship with a win"},"content":{"rendered":"<blockquote><p>\n\t<a href=\"http:\/\/twitter.com\/share?text=%E2%80%9CIt+was+amazing+to+be+able+to+achieve+this+victory+after+my+rib+injury.%E2%80%9D&#038;url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.boxrepsol.com%2Fen%2F%3Fp%3D31739\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was amazing to be able to achieve this victory after my rib injury.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t<\/a>\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Bou<\/strong> led with confidence during qualifying \u2013taking only one penalty point\u2013 and his semi-final round, where only the best of each group was qualified.<\/p>\n<p>In the Final round, he started losing some terrain, but he was able to recover and secure the first place in the inaugural round of the <strong>2019 X-Trial FIM World Championship<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>His team mate in the Repsol Honda Team, <strong>Takahisa Fujinami<\/strong>, was not able to repeat the position he achieved in semi-final last year in this same track.<\/p>\n<p>The second round of the Championship will take place on February 3<sup>rd<\/sup> at the <strong>Palau Sant Jordi<\/strong> in Barcelona.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bxrepsol.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/static\/2022\/08\/05063559\/RHT19_XTR_Fuji_1380x880.jpg\" alt=\"Takahisa Fujinami sobre un obst\u00e1culo de Xtrial\" itemprop=\"image\"  \/><\/p>\n<h3>Toni Bou<\/h3>\n<p><em>&#8220;I\u2019m very happy to start with a win. It was amazing to be able to achieve this victory after my rib injury, from which I\u2019m not completely recovered yet. We need to keep working to improve, because I think I\u2019m not where I should be yet. This year I didn\u2019t train much and I\u2019m not at my usual level. There is still time and I want to recover as soon as possible. In 2018 we won, but we suffered a lot with the injuries, that is why I want to thank Joaquim Terricabras and his medical team for all their help, especially with the recovery from my rib injury.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h3>Takahisa Fujinami<\/h3>\n<p><em>&#8220;I honestly believe that today I had chances to pass, but I made two important mistakes and I was out.
