{"id":97159,"date":"2018-10-23T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2018-10-23T02:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pre.boxrepsol.com\/uncategorized\/australian-gp-next-up-for-newly-crowned-marc-marquez\/"},"modified":"2023-02-27T07:12:58","modified_gmt":"2023-02-27T09:12:58","slug":"australian-gp-next-up-for-newly-crowned-marc-marquez","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.boxrepsol.com\/en\/motogp-en\/australian-gp-next-up-for-newly-crowned-marc-marquez\/","title":{"rendered":"Repsol Honda looking to repeat victory at Australian GP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Marc M\u00e1rquez has enjoyed spectacular races in Australia in 2011, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boxrepsol.com\/en\/motogp-en\/repsol-hondas-best-races-at-the-australian-gp\/\">2015<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.boxrepsol.com\/en\/motogp-en\/repsol-hondas-seven-most-epic-races\/\">2017<\/a>, although he suffered crashes there in 2014 and 2016 -after having been crowned World Champion in the previous race at Motegi.<\/p>\n<p>The MotoGP<a href=\"https:\/\/www.boxrepsol.com\/en\/marc-marquez-2018-world-champion\/\"> World Champion<\/a> has taken four consecutive pole positions on his last four visits to Australia.<\/p>\n<p>Since his crash at the Italian Grand Prix earlier this year, <strong>M\u00e1rquez has claimed 9 consecutive podiums<\/strong>, of which five have been victories \u2013the last three at consecutive races.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dani Pedrosa was proclaimed 250cc World Champion at Phillip Island in 2004 and in 2005<\/strong>, and in MotoGP he has taken to the podium there in 2009 and 2013.<\/p>\n<p><!-- Imagen relacionada --><br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bxrepsol.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/static\/2022\/08\/05062010\/00_motogp_dani_pedrosa_phillip_island_repsol_honda_gp_australia_2017-1.jpg\" alt=\"Dani Pedrosa rodando en circuito cerca del mar\" width=\"404\" height=\"336\" \/><br \/>\n<!-- Categor\u00eda --><br \/>\nMotoGP<br \/>\n<!-- T\u00edtulo --><\/p>\n<h3>Australia Timetables MotoGP 2018<\/h3>\n<p><!-- Fecha --><br \/>\n15 hours ago<\/p>\n<h3>Australian GP\u00a0 2018 &#8211; Marc M\u00e1rquez and Dani Pedrosa<\/h3>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/MM93?src=hash\">#MM93<\/a><\/h4>\n<p><strong>It\u2019s a great feeling\u00a0to arrive\u00a0in Australia\u00a0with the title already won<\/strong>,\u00a0and\u00a0I really look forward\u00a0to\u00a0enjoying\u00a0the\u00a0end of the season. Of course there are also the Constructors and the Teams\u2019\u00a0titles to think of,\u00a0so we\u2019ll try to keep the same level of performance and win more races to achieve those goals as well,\u00a0as they\u2019re important for us\u00a0and for Honda.<\/p>\n<p><strong>I\u00a0love Phillip Island<\/strong>;\u00a0it\u2019s a fast track\u00a0that\u00a0always\u00a0favours\u00a0race-long battles\u00a0that are a\u00a0great show for the fans. I just hope the weather will be good because it can\u00a0change\u00a0from\u00a0sunny and warm to cold and windy\u00a0in a matter of hours. Anyway, we\u2019ll see; we\u2019ll definitely try to be\u00a0at the\u00a0front and have fun.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/DP26?src=hash\">#DP26<\/a><\/h4>\n<p>Phillip Island\u00a0isn\u2019t one of my favourite tracks, though we\u2019ve\u00a0also\u00a0been able to get some good results\u00a0there\u00a0in the past.\u00a0More recently,\u00a0though,\u00a0we\u2019ve\u00a0struggled to find the best setup.<\/p>\n<p>That said,\u00a0we\u2019ll\u00a0go to Australia and manage it as\u00a0well\u00a0as possible. Let\u2019s hope to find\u00a0good weather and to be able to use\u00a0every session well in order to prepare for\u00a0the race.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The next round of
