The two riders took the lead and dominated the race from start to finish, sporting a unique bike fairing design by David Delf\u00edn. The Australian took the pole and the samurai crossed the start line second \u2014 the same positions they maintained through the race. After taking the lead in the seventh lap, no. 26 maintained first place until the end, increasing his time difference with the rest of the riders with each successive lap. Our samurai crossed the finish line 6.4 seconds ahead of the second-place rider, showing everyone who had the most rhythm on the track. With nine different winners throughout the competition, each race presented an enigma and it seemed like anyone could sneak up from behind and race off with the title. Marc M\u00e1rquez reached the lead group where he found himself in a tangle with two of the heavyweights: Valentino Rossi and the previous season&#8217;s champion, Jorge Lorenzo, with Maverick Vi\u00f1ales and Andrea Dovizioso also in the fray. On the 12th lap Marc took the lead and didn&#8217;t let go. Lorenzo&#8217;s and Dovizioso&#8217;s Ducatis were swift, as was Maverick&#8217;s Yamaha, but after the 16th lap M\u00e1rquez had taken the lead and refused give it up. Pedrosa, having started sixth, climbed up position after position to take a well-deserved second place.
