His Repsol Honda teammate, Dani Pedrosa, managed to overcome physical problems and earned a praiseworthy seventh place. Following the Grand Prix of The Americas, Team Manager Alberto Puig analysed the pair\u2019s performances.<\/p>\n<p><strong>WHAT WAS THE STRATEGY FOR AMERICAS RACE?<\/strong><br \/>\n\u201cThe strategy was to start well, avoid any problems and put together a strong pace in a free way. We knew if Marc had a strong pace that it would be tough for the others to follow him. He chose a hard rear tyre and this is why Marc might have had more problems at the beginning. In Dani\u2019s case the goal was to finish the race. He took some painkillers and was quite good at the beginning of the race \u2013 he was in a good group and he kept his distance with the guys behind. It was very positive for Dani, because this weekend was so hard for him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bxrepsol.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/static\/2022\/08\/05054359\/00_alberto_puig_box_repsol_honda_motogp.jpg\" alt=\"Alberto Puig en el box repsol honda\" itemprop=\"image\"  \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>THE POSITIVE POINTS AND NEGATIVE POINTS AFTER RACE?<\/strong><br \/>\n\u201cThe positive points were Marc\u2019s win and Dani\u2019s result. Both were brave. There were no negative points this weekend in Austin.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE VIEW FROM PIT WALL DURING RACE?<\/strong><br \/>\n\u201cIt looked like an easy race, but it wasn\u2019t. From the pit-wall you are never able to be calm because even if a rider like Marc is leading alone, many things can happen before the finish line.
