This will prevent fuel from being stored in engine parts other than the actual tank.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Number of mechanics in the pit lane:<\/strong> the number of mechanics allowed in the pit lane for a bike change during the race has been increased from four to five. The permitted number is kept at six for qualifiers and warm-ups and at eight for FPs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mandatory airbag:<\/strong> as expected, all riders on the grid must now wear suits fitted with an airbag system. The only exceptions are wild cards and substitute riders in their first two GPs of the season.<\/p>\n<p>\t\t\t\t<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/bxrepsol.s3.eu-west-1.amazonaws.com\/static\/2022\/08\/05053146\/MGP_TEST_SURIRAM_2018-2218-1-scaled.jpg\" alt=\"circuito buriram grada\" itemprop=\"image\"  \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>Team World Championship in Moto2 and Moto3:<\/strong> the lower categories will have an extra incentive to compete and win this season with the introduction of the Team World Championship.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Changes to tests:<\/strong> No tests will be permitted during the summer break. No more than three of the five permitted private tests may be held on circuits where the GP has not yet taken place during the current season, and these must be at least 14 days before the scheduled GP at that circuit.<\/p>\n<p>These are the most important changes to the regulations for the 2018 season.
