Elite competition is the perfect testing ground for products developed at the Repsol Technology Lab. Under the demanding conditions of top tier international championships like MotoGP, Repsol is able to translate this work into the energy that ensures Marc M\u00e1rquez’s and Dani Pedrosa’s motorcycles perform at their best.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Year after year, their athletic achievements support this commitment, not only in MotoGP, but also in Moto3 and in championships like the FIM CEV Repsol International Championship. However, beyond these achievements, the most important part is that these competitions work as the ideal test to convert this research into products, which are later available for customers at Repsol service stations.<\/p>\n

Increased speed for Marc and Dani
\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n

But this energy, produced and sent to the box by Repsol, is not only in the fuels and lubricants that the Repsol Honda Team uses. Did you know that it also has a direct impact on other parts of Marc’s and Dani’s motorcycles?<\/p>\n

For example, if you take a look at the tyres, one of its main compounds is synthetic rubber. In the fairings you can find carbon fibre, same as you’ll find polypropylene and glass fibre in the motorcycle’s mudguards.<\/p>\n

Even in Marquez’s and Pedrosa’s helmets<\/strong>, you can find products made from oil, namely, carbon fibre. And these are just a few examples, but there are many others: the windscreen, the grips, the sleeves, even in what the seats are filled with!<\/p>\n

Going back over the complete physical appearance of the MotoGP Honda motorcycles, the most used products made by Repsol are polypropylene, carbon fibre, polyurethane, and polyethylene. All these products make the motorcycles lighter and more impact resistant.<\/p>\n

This, in turn, results in greater safety for riders<\/strong>, and, in higher speeds. This combination has become the energy that drives the Repsol Honda Team<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
