Marc Marquez comes into the British Grand Prix as leader of the MotoGP standings with 197 points \u201353 more than his closest rival. The Repsol Honda Team rider also has good memories of this weekend\u2019s venue: He won at Silverstone in 2010 in 125cc and 2014 in MotoGP, in addition to podium finishes in 3 of his last 4 appearances there (in Moto2 and MotoGP). Dani Pedrosa, fourth with 109 points, faces the race in Britain with the aim of recovering confidence and implementing the conclusions drawn at the recent test in the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Marc M\u00e1rquez<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em> &#8220;Silverstone is a place where the weather is generally quite unpredictable, meaning that cold and rain are variables you have to be prepared to face. We\u2019ve encountered \u2018mixed conditions\u2019 situations more than once this year, and we saw how important it is to remain focused and make the right choices. We\u2019ll see what happens during the weekend and we\u2019ll try to manage the situation with the same mind-set that has gotten us this far. I like the track a lot; it has a slower first section but then there\u2019s a series of \u2018esses\u2019 where it\u2019s possible to make the difference if you find a good setup for the bike. I\u2019ve always enjoyed racing there and we\u2019ll push at the maximum to get the best result possible.&#8221; <\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dani Pedrosa<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><em> \u201cMy main goal at the moment is to regain some confidence and feeling and then build upon that. The work we did during the Brno post-race test gave us a few ideas and we\u2019ll see now if we\u2019re able to start to find some more speed in the next races. Silverstone is a challenging venue with many changes of direction that require a lot of work on the bike\u2019s settings. Another important topic is the weather, which is often quite unpredictable, and that also makes it demanding to set up the bike, to choose tyres and so on. The morning practices and the afternoon practice often give you different feelings. The track is very fast, quite winding, and it\u2019s not easy.
