The toughest race on the planet, the Dakar, concluded on Friday in Saudi Arabia, and the four Repsol drivers who were taking on the challenge with renewable fuels \u2013Joao Ferreira, Seth Quintero, Lucas Moraes and Isidre Esteve\u2013 reached the finish line with very positive results.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were four stage wins for Repsol renewable fuels, with Lucas Moraes and Seth Quintero taking two each, in addition to Joao Ferreira finishing eighth overall, and Isidre Esteve’s great comeback after a tough start to the Rally. The products developed by the multi-energy company proved to have very high quality in extreme conditions, showing that they are capable of offering remarkable levels of performance and efficiency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On a sporting level, the best overall result was achieved by Joao Ferreira. The young Portuguese driver had an impeccable rally, displaying speed and consistency, taking eighth place overall and earning a second place on Stage 6. Accompanied by co-driver and compatriot, Filipe Palmeiro, he completed his third Dakar with the X-RAID MINI JCW TEAM powered by the 100% Renewable Nexa Diesel, the same fuel that is already found in more than 800 service stations in the Iberian Peninsula.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also noteworthy were the four stage victories achieved as a result of the technological alliance with the Toyota Gazoo Racing team, with its two Toyota GR DKR Hilux EVO powered by a fuel that contains 70% renewable materials. Seth Quintero \u2013accompanied by Dennis Zenz\u2013 won the first stage and took another partial victory, ending the Rally in ninth position. Meanwhile, Lucas Moraes \u2013with co-driver Armand Monle\u00f3n\u2013 managed to win both the seventh stage and the last stage of the race, finishing fifteenth overall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Isidre Esteve, accompanied by Txema Villalobos, finished 32nd in the legendary desert race. The Repsol Toyota Rally Team driver made a commendable comeback during the stages, after finishing the first day in 69th position due to the effects of flu. This was his twentieth participation in the race. Esteve has been involved in the development of the renewable fuels project since 2021 and, in this edition, was also able to compete with Repsol’s renewable lubricant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
