The reigning premier class world champion set the fastest time in Q2 and proved it by lowering the absolute track record in both starts on the Buriram track final session. <strong>Enea Bastianini <\/strong>and<strong> Jorge Mart\u00edn <\/strong>completed the front row of the grid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After FP2, once again led by<strong> Marc M\u00e1rquez<\/strong>, the qualifying sessions took place at the Chang International Circuit. Before the hour of truth, Q1 made it clear that everything was going to be very close in Thailand, putting <strong>Fabio Quartararo<\/strong> and <strong>Fabio Di Giannantoni<\/strong>o in the final fight by just a few thousandths of a second.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the second and final qualifying session underway, the favourites quickly took the lead, with<strong> \u2018Pecco\u2019 <\/strong>leading the way and <strong>Mart\u00edn<\/strong>, <strong>Bezzecchi <\/strong>and <strong>M. M\u00e1rquez<\/strong> in hot pursuit. After the pit stop for the second run of Q2, both the current leader of the overall standings and the Cervera rider went to the floor -separately-, leaving Pole Position on a plate to <strong>\u2018Pecco\u2019 Bagnaia<\/strong> who, meanwhile, has once again smashed the track record in Buriram (<strong>1:28.700<\/strong>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the <strong>Top3<\/strong>, the second row is formed by <strong>Bezzecchi, M. M\u00e1rquez <\/strong>and <strong>Quartararo<\/strong>. The rest of the riders in Q2: <strong>Acosta, Di Giannantonio, A. With constant changes in the top two positions, both<strong> Joan Mir <\/strong>and <strong>Luca Marini <\/strong>managed to lower their times until almost the end, although it was not possible to get into the fight for Pole.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In Q1,<strong> Joan Mir<\/strong> was three tenths off his best time from Friday. Earlier, in FP2, the Spaniard had already shown that he had taken a step forward compared to yesterday, with a time that was close to the one set in the Practice Time Attack, which gave him P12. In Q1, Mir was slow to get a good lap in, but in his last two laps he improved consecutively to end up securing <strong>P19 <\/strong>on the grid with a time of<strong> 1:30.045<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Luca Marini <\/strong>worked on his race pace in FP2, so he had to settle for P19.
