The Italian achieved the <strong>two victories at Motegi<\/strong>, on a weekend in which Pedro Acosta achieved pole position but crashed out twice -missing out on competing for the win.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bagnaia\u2019s two victories leave him with 382 points in the overall standings, compared to <strong>Mart\u00edn<\/strong>\u2019s 392. The latter made a great comeback from eleventh on the grid to <strong>second<\/strong> and still holds a 10-point lead in the overall standings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Third place<\/strong> went to <strong>Marc M\u00e1rquez<\/strong>, who also made a comeback on the first few laps after a qualifying penalty for going off track kept him down the order. The Italian, who started twentieth, was able to hold his own in the early stages of the race, then maintain a pace that allowed him to catch up and overtake rivals in the second half of the contest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>His teammate, <strong>Joan Mir<\/strong>, was less fortunate. It\u2019s a shame because I was going really well in that first lap of the race and the pace we showed yesterday in the Sprint, something good was possible.\u00bb<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Luca_Marini\"><\/span><strong>Luca Marini<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00abIn the back there are always great battles and I was able to enjoy it today! On the first lap I lost quite a lot of time and a lot of positions, so it was a race of recovery. We knew from the start of the weekend that it was going to be difficult, so I think with a P13 and a P14 today that we have achieved something good. I think my rear tyre choice could have been better, so maybe we could have gained something there. But anyway, we learn and will be more prepared next year.
