The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix<\/strong> offered great excitement right through to the last lap, when Enea Bastianini managed to take the win<\/strong>. The Italian scored Ducati’s 100th victory in the premier class and secured the constructors’ title for the manufacturer for a third consecutive year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was an important second position for Jorge Mart\u00edn<\/strong>, who led for almost the entire race, until he was overtaken on the last lap by Bastianini. However, a fall by Pecco Bagnaia when he was riding alone in third position, trying to make up ground on the leaders, allowed the Spaniard to extend his lead in the overall standings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bagnaia’s crash allowed Marc M\u00e1rquez<\/strong> to get onto the podium <\/strong>at Misano. Behind him, Bezzechi, Morbidelli, Vi\u00f1ales, Quartararo, Espargar\u00f3, \u00c1lex M\u00e1rquez and Oliveira completed the Top 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Good work by Repsol Honda Team<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Joan Mir and Luca Marini made progress on Sunday at Misano. The Repsol Honda Team<\/strong> riders improved on their results from Saturday, both finishing in the points.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mir<\/strong>, who started from sixteenth position, gained a couple of places off the line, although he was unable to maintain his pace in the first half of the race and dropped to eighteenth position. Lap by lap, Mir managed to force his way up the order, enter the points, and take the chequered flag in a positive eleventh <\/strong>place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also improving as the race went on was Luca Marini<\/strong>. Despite not having a good start, he managed to maintain his pace, recover ground and climb from 21st on the second lap to 12th at the finale<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next round of the MotoGP World Championship<\/strong> takes place next weekend in Indonesia<\/strong>, starting off the final stretch of the calendar <\/a>that includes Asian rounds and the closer in Valencia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“A really good race, the first time I could really push and really ride and enjoy being on the bike. I made a good start but then Raul was quite optimistic into the opening corners, so I went wide and dropped down to last. Then I got my head down and started to overtake, especially in the second half of the race I was really pleased with my performance. Not just the overtaking, but also the lap times which were the same as those guys in the top ten. 11th is a good result from where we are coming from and it\u2019s really good to see improvements over the weekend. I have to also say thank you to my team for their work this weekend, my first in Misano, they did a good job to improve the feeling overnight. It\u2019s encouraging and gives us all a boost as we head to Asia.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Luca Marini <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

“I am really happy with this weekend. I fully enjoyed it and there are a lot of positives to take away from it. We have found a good package with the upgrades the Japanese have made; all of the engineers have been making a good effort and now we are starting to see it in the results. The first three laps with the rear are quite complicated still, we need to work on this because even starting in 15th, we are missing something in the first laps and it stops us fighting with the others. The new aero has helped a lot, but we have also improved a lot of other small areas in the last few outings. We can head to Indonesia with optimism to continue in this way.
