Having not held a round in 2023, MotorLand Arag\u00f3n<\/strong> returns to the MotoGP calendar this year. It did so with a strong Friday for Marc M\u00e1rquez<\/strong>, who set a new circuit record, topping the timesheets in both the morning and afternoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The regular 22-man grid<\/strong> took to the Spanish track, down from the up to 25 from recent rounds due to the appearance of several wildcards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Marc M\u00e1rquez’s<\/strong> initial dominance, the KTM’s began to make their presence felt to accompany the Borno Panigale factory at the front, although they faded in the final stretch. It was then that the World Championship leaders<\/strong>, as well as the four Aprilia<\/strong> machines and the Honda<\/strong> of Johann Zarco<\/strong>, put in a good Time Attack<\/strong> to ensure their presence in the fight for Pole Position at Aragon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With M\u00e1rquez the clear man to beat, setting a final time of 1:48.508<\/strong>, he was ahead of Aleix Espargar\u00f3, Maverick Vi\u00f1ales, Jorge Mart\u00edn, \u00c1lex M\u00e1rquez, ‘Pecco’ Bagnaia, Franco Morbidelli, Johann Zarco, Ra\u00fal Fern\u00e1ndez <\/strong>and Miguel Oliveira<\/strong>. All ten will go directly into Q2 on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
