Behind them, Jack Miller was third on his KTM, followed by his teammate, Brad Binder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Completing the Top 10 that will go straight into Q2 were Maverick Vi\u00f1ales, Luca Marini, Fabio Quartararo, Pecco Bagnaia, Marco Bezzecchi and Johann Zarco.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Marc M\u00e1rquez and Joan Mir place fifteenth and sixteenth, respectively<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Friday was a difficult day for the Repsol Honda riders at the Sepang International Circuit. Marc M\u00e1rquez, who was seventeenth in P1, was able to improve in the second session of the day. Despite some scares, he managed to move up into the Top 10 late on, but he was finally relegated to fifteenth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Joan Mir also made gradual progress. It was a day that we were expecting, so it is not a big surprise. I started both sessions well but couldn\u2019t find that extra bit when we switched to the time attack. Qualifying will be very important, with two races starts this year, so I will keep giving my 100% to see what\u2019s possible in Q1.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Joan Mir<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;It\u2019s a pretty similar Friday to what we have had throughout the year honestly. It\u2019s difficult to make big steps here, the grip changed a lot here over the course of the day and I felt pretty good with the second and third tyres we used in the afternoon. Tomorrow we will keep trying to improve and giving our all, hopefully we can be close to the spots moving into Q2.
