The MotoGP World Championship has landed in Great Britain for the first round of the second half of the season, following the summer break. On the first day, Aleix Espargar\u00f3 (Aprilia) <\/strong>set the best time with a 1:58.183 in the afternoon session -which from this weekend will be the only session that will give direct access to Q2 for the ten fastest riders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Top 10<\/strong> was completed by Jorge Mart\u00edn (Ducati), Brad Binder (KTM), Maverick Vi\u00f1ales (Aprilia), Johann Zarco (Ducati), Pecco Bagnaia (Ducati), Marco Bezzecchi (Ducati), Jack Miller (KTM), Luca Marini (Ducati) and \u00c1lex M\u00e1rquez (Ducati).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tomorrow the riders will have a further practice session at 11:10<\/strong> (CEST), before starting the qualifying session at 11:50<\/strong>. Later, at 4pm, they will participate in the Sprint Race<\/a> of the British GP.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Return for Repsol Honda team<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Marc M\u00e1rquez <\/strong>got back onboard his RC213V after a long summer. The Repsol Honda<\/strong> team<\/strong> rider closed FP1 in 15th position. Despite the fact that he progressively improved his times in the afternoon session, he ended the day in 13th position <\/strong>and will be forced to battle for a place in Q2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Joan Mir<\/strong> returns to action after not participating in the previous Grand Prix on the calendar<\/a>. Also back fit and motivated to improve his feeling on the Honda, the Spaniard set the 18th fastest time<\/strong> in practice, meaning that he too has to go through Q1 on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
