Pol Espargaró, keep fighting until the end

In his first year with the team, Pol Espargaró made his debut with an eighth place at the Qatar GP. As the season progressed, the rider from Granollers improved and became more comfortable on the Repsol Honda bike, and had a good final stretch of the season. Pol signed his best result in the Emilia-Romagna GP, taking second place behind his teammate Marc Márquez. Unfortunately, he was unable to take part in the final race of the season in Valencia, after a crash in practice. Espargaró finished his first season with the team in 12th place, with 100 points.

He was born in Granollers in 1991. He’s proven to be a great rider whose performance has been consistent as shown by the 51 podiums he claimed throughout 263 races in the World Championship. He was the Moto2 World Champion in 2013, which enabled him to move on up to the MotoGP class. After seven years of continuous learning and improvement in this class, he’s now ready to keep winning and bring joy to the best team in the history of motorsport: the Repsol Honda Team.
