1992
The ST185 model of the Celica Turbo 4WD was created as the 'Carlos Sainz Limited Edition'.
Toyota launched a limited edition of 5000 cars numbered and signed by the race driver from Madrid. The racing model was an enhanced version of the ST165 that Sainz raced to victory in 1990. The engine, chassis, and suspension all received touch-ups and were placed in the hands of masterful drivers such as Carlos Sainz, Markku Alén, Armin Schwarz, and Mikael Ericsson, who competed in a hard-fought World Championship from which Sainz emerged victorious.
