A Group C3 sports prototype.
A racing vehicle with a carbon fibre bodywork on a chassis similar to a 1970s F1 race car. The monocoque was made from aluminium and the tube-shaped structure encompassed the rear section, protecting a four-cylinder, 2500cc BMW engine.
It was a very powerful and lightweight car, perfect for mountain paths. A real challenge for the driver, as reactions were extremely fast.

Born in the '70s
Designed by Bob Marston and Eric Broadley in Great Britain in the late '70s, the Lola T298 was especially conceived for 2000cc competitions. Its lightweight chassis and superb response made it a match for four-cylinder, two-litre engines. A total of 16 vehicles were produced
The king of mountain racing
Although its first races took place in circuits, reaching the 24 Hours of Le Mans from 1979 to 1981, the Lola T298 displayed its full potential climbing the mountains of Europe, where Andrés Vilariño shined
New heart
In 1989, Andrés Vilariño and his team acquired a new BMW 2500cc engine, which after preparation outperformed the 394 hp and took them to victory in the European Hill Climb Championship in 1989 and each of the following three years, breaking multiple records in the process
