It is not the first time that the Repsol Honda Team breaks moulds and surprises everyone with stagings that do not leave the MotoGP fans indifferent. After the the unforgettable vintage equipment in Valencia in 2008, or the surprising wink at the superhero world in Aragón in 2011with David Delfín’s colourful creation, in 2021 we can see the Repsol riders sporting race suits specially designed to alleviate the suffocating sensations of heat that are usual in circuits like Las Américas, Mugello, Montmeló, Jerez, Motorland, Chang, or Sepang.
The “summer” suit, which will not exempt the riders from wearing knee pads, will require them to thoroughly and strictly shave their legs before, and during each GP to avoid the aerodynamic resistance of hair, which could subtract precious tenths of a second per lap.
Additionally, and to avoid unexpected events, at least during the first GPs, a shaving and skincare technician will join the usual team of mechanics, telemetry engineers, Michelin and Öhlins advisors, sport directors, the riders’ family, riders, ex-riders, head of media, sponsors, TV operators, journalists, and members of the organisation in the box.
This is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever read .
If the marquez girls want to shave their legs , repsol doesn’t need to create an excuse to make them look less fairy-like!
why so serious?
Seriously? Exposed skin is not safe! Rules? Better to incorporate mesh, venting. Must be a joke!Maybe to illicit idiot responses like the one from hammer smashed brain, who probably wears a yellow wig & dresses in drag to honor their feminine-looking idol! 🤣
