Moto3 2019 Thai GP – Rider statements

Alonso López

I feel very good; I’m very happy to have achieved my first podium in the World Championship. I have worked very hard throughout this season, and although it’s true that sometimes this effort has not been focused in the right direction, today’s podium is a reward for us. After the good result at Aragón, I needed to continue on this positive path, especially at a circuit where I struggled a lot last year.

The race was very intense from the start, with a lot of overtaking and some riders riding at the limit. I want to dedicate this podium to my team, to my family and to all the people who have supported me in difficult times.

Sergio García

We didn’t start today’s race with confidence, something which was a problem during the entire weekend. We still haven’t found the issue that prevents me from going a little faster; We have to keep working to fix it.

The start of the race went well and I was able to ride at the back of the front group, but I struggled a lot. In addition, I was penalised for exceeding the track limits; I was riding on the limit during the entire race. The positive thing I can take from this Grand Prix is that you can never give up; We have to keep fighting.
